“Seixal is such a small town, you don’t need a map to not get lost.” “Big boat, big headache.” Just couple of sayings we heard today. Portugese wisdom.
We landed in Seixal, a pretty little town at the Southbank of the river Tejo opposite to Lisboa. Just the place were we feel at home. The big city is to busy for us. Good to spend a few hours but thereafter we prefer the the peace of a small town like Seixal.
“Seixal is zo’n klein plaatsje, je hebt geen plattegrond nodig om niet te verdwalen.” “Grote boot, grote zorgen.” Zomaar een paar uitspraken die we vandaag optekenden. Portugese wijsheid.
We zijn geland in Seixal, een prettig klein plaatsje aan de zuidoever van de rivier Tejo tegenover Lissabon. Echt een plaatsje waar wij ons thuis voelen. De grote stad is ons veel te druk. Leuk om een paar uurtjes rond te brengen maar daarna liever de rust van een plaatsje als Seixal.
Everything we need is at a walking distance and there are plenty bars and restaurants too. This afternoon we had a typical Portugese lunch: codfish with rice and salad. The total cost of it all including two bears and two wines was just 18 euros. If we keep this rates we won’t reach our daily budget of 50 euros!
Alles wat we nodig hebben is op loopafstand en er zijn genoeg bars en restaurants. Vanmiddag hebben we een typische Portugese lunch gegeten: kabeljauw met rijst en salade. De totale kosten voor dit alles inclusief twee wijn en twee bier waren 18 euro. Als we deze tarieven volhouden dan komen we niet eens aan ons dagelijkse budget van 50 euro!

I just launched my site –also built in wordpress like yours– but the
theme slows (!) the site down quite a bit.

on Google (would appreciate any feedback) – it’s still in the works.

Hi Justin, I us the opossum PostMe theme by AN2 studios for my website although I customized it a little (colors, fonts etc.) The developer give’s excellent support. He even supplied html code to solve some issues I had.
